Unique Curriculum with LIVE Instruction
Designed specifically for graduate students of Masters & PhD Theological studies, the program follows evidence-based immersion methods for both expeditious and efficient learning. Language training is facilitated through the comprehensive summary of French grammar, principles of translation to English, and extensive acquisition of vocabulary from Christian liturgy.
Contextual Learning
Our students consistently achieve outstanding fluency and proficiency in their target language, thanks to our proven language acquisition methods and immersive instruction. Using text from current and historical religious documents, comprehension of vocabulary and phrases is learned through context and lexical-association between origin and destination languages. All student translations are reviewed and edited by human hands with constructive feedback.
Le Savoir-Faire
Our curriculum has been designed by a team of experienced educators known for their expertise in both academic and language instruction and their ability to create engaging and effective lessons. Passionate for our students to fully comprehend their studies, not just memorize, we train with each individual's learning method in mind, for optimal outcomes.
Resources & Support
In addition to historical religious and philosophical documents and articles used for translation, we also provide a multitude of support resources for all types of learners. These include grammar exercises, self-quizzes, vocabulary banks, flashcards, visual diagrams, contemporary news and journal articles, along with other personalized resources adaptive to your learning methods.
Small Group Academic Courses & Individual 1:1 Courses
We hold small group (2-5 students max) sessions in 15-week academic semester timelines (two 90 minute sessions per week), January - April and September to December. These courses are equal to a 3-credit-hour course and, although not accredited, require a commitment of approximately 9 hours per week including instruction, lectures, discussions, readings, study, research and assignments.
We can conduct a summer course with a minimum of 3 students and will depend on enrollment requests by early May.
Individual classes can be arranged based on your availability, starting level of language knowledge and desired intensity of learning. Sessions are typically one to one and a half hours each and can be held once or multiple times per week.
Affordable Tuition
Rates for tuition are based on whether you are learning individually or in a group, and the required intensity of the course.
Weekly 1:1 instruction (one-hour per week), including course material, online learning resources and personal tutor for marking & assessment feedback would be included in our "Voyageur du Monde" subscription at $229 per month**. The number of months will depend upon student progression, and can begin at any time. Option is available to add additional live instructional hours for more intense rhythm of study.

"Exceptional Theological French Tutor – A Truly Outstanding Experience!"
I am beyond impressed with
the quality of instruction I’ve received from Carol. I was looking for a tutor
who could skillfully navigate the complexities of theological French-to-English
translation to pass my graduate-level proficiency exam. I am thrilled to say
that with Carol’s guidance, I passed on my first attempt!
From
the beginning, she tailored our lessons to focus on the specific areas I needed
most, balancing the nuances of theological vocabulary with a deep understanding
of French grammar and syntax. Her lessons were always clear and well-organized,
and she created a customized strategy that encouraged active learning and
critical thinking. What impressed me the most was her ability to break down
complex theological sentences into manageable parts and provide practical
strategies for me to retain the material.
Every
lesson was an enriching conversation, where I felt encouraged to ask questions
and explore deeper topics. Her dedication to each session was extraordinary,
and it’s clear that Carol genuinely cares about her student’s success and
understanding. I also appreciate how she integrated French culture and history
into our lessons, which provided a rich context that made learning the language
more meaningful.
Carol
is the one to choose if you're looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and
genuinely supportive tutor to help you succeed in mastering French for
theological studies. I am deeply grateful for all her help and guidance, and I
recommend her without hesitation to anyone seeking to excel in this challenging
field.
